Assembly Page 2...... Well, here it is the day after Christmas, 2000, and I just now have got around to posting the new updates to the site. I have almost got the rolling chassis together, see below for a before and after, and some detailed shots. Click on any of the images to see a big picture. I also added a picture of the tranny that will give a better idea of the color that I'm painting the buggy. Rolling Chassis (Before) Rolling Chassis (After) Preliminary Fitment of the Body Bus Transmission (After being painted the same color as the body) The Completed Front End (I will be adding a link to a tech article here to explain how to set the shims for the front end of a link pin VW, in the coming weeks). For now, here is a picture of the completed front end. Coming in the next couple weeks.... Transmission and axle installation (including the fabrication of the front tranny mount, and the mounting of the intermediate transmission strap). |
